Policy into Practice (PiP) is a bespoke training programme to support the implementation of new ways of working or embed legislation, policies, procedures and guidance into frontline practice.
Outputs from PiP training can be written up as practice guidance documents and, if customers also have an APPP site, can be included as part of local good practice content.
The practice arm of Policy Partners Project is led by Sam Mayne. Programmes are developed and led with oversight from Policy Partners Project associate Emeritus Professor of Social Work John Harris (see About Us).
Outcomes and outputs are identified and agreed in advance with the customer. The training can be measured against these to provide an assessment of impact.
Benefits for customers include:
Policy Partners Project works in partnership with customers to ensure that local needs and drivers are fully represented in the PiP programme. This includes taking into account work already completed and / or planned by the customer in their training strategy.
Content is in line with current legislation and CQC inspection regimes, statutory guidance, national policy, and local procedures and guidance.
Content is supported by Policy Partners Project’s quality assurance system, which includes legal oversight and practice content oversight from Emeritus Professor of Social Work.
