A service provided in the person’s own home by a team of mainly care and support professionals, to help them live independently for up to six weeks. The service and minor aids and adaptations up to the value of £1,000 must always be provided free of charge for this period. This is for all adults, irrespective of whether they have eligible needs for ongoing care and support.
